The following Travel Agent letter is being faxed and emailed to guests regarding Marco Polo’s 22-day Russia, Scandinavia and the Arctic Circle cruise departing from Copenhagen, Denmark on June 29, 2006.
Due to increased security measures surrounding the G-8 summit in St. Petersburg, a forum of the heads of leading industrialized democracies, the St. Petersburg port authority has recently announced they will close the port to all ship traffic, including cruise ships, from July 13, 2006 until midnight on July 17, 2006. We are forced to modify this sailing’s itinerary and unfortunately have been compelled to cancel the call to St. Petersburg. Below is the revised itinerary:
