Queen Elizabeth 2 Milestones   

Here are just a few of the milestones that Queen Elizabeth 2 has achieved as of September 30, 2008 (information provided by Cunard UK):

  • The ship has completed 1,423 voyages with an average speed of 24.75 knots. She is currently embarked on voyage 1,424.
  • The ship has sailed 5.9 million nautical miles – 6.9 million statue miles – which is more than any other ship ever.
  • QE2 has carried over 2.5 million passengers.
  • QE2 has completed over 804 Atlantic crossings
  • The ship has called on New York 708 times and has called on Southampton 721 times.
  • QE2 has completed 25 full World Cruises. The second Caronia by comparison has only completed 13, the second most completed by any Cunard ship.
  • 25 different Captains have had the honor of commanding QE2.
