We’re back this week with some real cruise line news - again thanks to Rob for writing the last episode. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
The photo gallery is down and probably will be for at least another week. Instead of fixing whatever actually broke I’ve decided to just move it to a new location and start over. As a result it’s going to be a bit as I reload the images that were stored there and weed through some of the photos that we had published.
You can find the much talked about Virgin America safety video here.
We got word this past week that Ruby Princess will be delivered a week early, and we let loose a rumor regarding Celebrity Solstice which we hope to confirm soon… We also had an odd story about Grand Princess which appears to have triggered by some engine trouble. Plus Tahitian Princess will be getting a new name next year.
Carnival Corp is refunding some fuel surcharges, and is adding a new 8 night itinerary to Carnival Miracle’s New York sailings.
Celebrity will be sending 3 ships to Alaska for the 2009 season, and Royal Caribbean International gets some bad news from S&P that may not be bad for public.
This was also a bad week for air travel with 3 airlines ceasing operations and a fourth announcing that it will end operations at the end of May.
Finally we talk about SeaSocks. We’re leaving in a month and we know that the folks who are making the trip are excited. This week we reveal the agenda for the trip so that folks have an idea of what’s in store for them… But, we didn’t give it all away - there will still be some surprises in store for you when you get on board!
