Cruise Community is reporting that Louis Cruise Lines has purchased Norwegian Dream and Norwegian Majesty from Star Cruises for $218m and $162m respectively, with funding arranged by DVB Bank.
The two ships will be chartered back from their new owner to complete their announced itineraries for Norwegian Cruise Line at a daily fee of $60,000 for Norwegian Dream and $44,000 for Norwegian Majesty.

Louis is loving those old NCL ships. Their latest ship, Cristal, sailed for years as NCL’s Leaward. Louis has a lot of ships that aren’t going to make it past SOLAS 2010, so expect them to scoop up a few more mid-size ships that don’t fit into other cruise lines’ expansion plans (and possibly pick up a ferry or two like the Sea Diamond was)
