It was a slow news week this week, we had just one story – Carnival announced the details of the 2008 Wild Winners Cruises.
We spent the rest of the show talking about passport and passport card issues. From what you will and won’t be able to use a passport card for, to how to get your passport and passport card.
While we have a lot of great information in this show about passports and passport cards, you will always find the best and most up to date information at the US State Department’s foreign travel website located at travel.state.gov
Now that you’re going to get your passport how about collecting some stamps by taking advantage of a great deal on a Carnival Splendor sailing in the Med this July.

Just a comment: Patricia is usually hard to hear at times and Michael is way too loud (especially laughs). I usually have to raise volume when Patricia is commenting and then get blown away when Michael starts.

Hmmm, I’ll adjust the levels a bit and see if that helps – that and try and see if I can convince Patricia to sit a little closer to her microphone!
Thanks for letting us know. I listen to the shows as I edit them, but apparently I’m not hearing a difference in the levels as I do my sampling.

Just listened to this podcast this morning and I do have one comment about the photos for a passport. Michael said they would want you to wear your glasses for the photo if you wear glasses all the time. This is just my experience, but in March 2007 I took my mom for her passport application, and they made her remove the glasses she wears all the time. These are not darkened in any way or obscure her eyes, but we were told that glasses are not to be in the photo. She has traveled twice on that passport, to Mexico and the Bahamas. The bottom line is, of course, if you are at a passport accepting facility and they are taking the photos, you do what they say
Your podcast is always a bit of escape for me, dreaming about all the travel you talk about. I especially love any reviews of traveling that you do.
