Carnival Victory Strikes NY Pier

The US Coast Guard and New York Newsday are reporting that Carnival Victory allided (yes, that’s a valid word that is used to describe one ship striking another)  with the parking structure at Pier 92 while mooring this morning in New York.

According to the USCG, the impact caused superficial damage to the ship’s spray shield.  No injuries were reported in the incident.

Carnival Victory was returning to New York after the completion of a 4 day Canada and New England sailing.
