This week was a very slow news week so we figured that we would just do one show – and as always seems to be the case, ended up with a really long show…
The few stories we have this week -
Crystal announces a partnership with Hotel Bel Air, and Seabourn releases lots of details on their new flagship.
Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth 2 is the only cruise ship currently in service with a war record, seeing service during the Falkland Islands campaign 25 years ago. To commemorate the event QE2 will host a special luncheon reunion on Sunday June 10.
MSC has decided to name the ship that was to be known as MSC Serenata the MSC Splendida instead.
Westerdam gets some new cabins and other upgrades that will be rolled out to her Vista class sisters Oosterdam and Zuiderdam in the next two years.
Mexican President Felipe Calderon dedicates the two new piers in Puerto Vallerta
Empress of The North to be moved from Ketchikan to another location to complete the repairs on her hull. As a result additional sailings have been cancelled. Itineraries through June 23 are now cancelled.
For the feature part of the show we talk about crusing the British Isles. Like other destinations in our ongoing series Cruising Anywhere BUT the Caribbean, we talk about the ports of call and the attracts that you might be interested when sailing to the British Isles.
