Explosive Scare at Port of Miami a False Alarm
Earlier today a pallet of supplies for Royal Caribbean's Majesty of The Seas tested positive for C-4 plastic explosives. The final report from the US Coast Guard and Miami-Dade Police Department is that the contents of the suspect pallet were harmless. Various news outlets are reporting that the package contained sprinkler system parts and that after inspection the entire pallet was judged to be harmless. While boarding was halted so that the contents of the pallet could be investigated, the ship departed at 6 PM ET today with 2,340 passengers onboard.
