MSC Offers Music Themed Cruises on its Musical Fleet

Posted by Michael on 11/27/06

MSC ItalianWith ships whose names evoke melodious images (MSC Musica, MSC Lirica, MSC Opera, MSC Rhapsody, MSC Melody, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Armonia and MSC Orchestra) it’s not surprising that music plays a big part in the MSC Cruises experience.

Onboard every MSC Cruises’ ship, guests will find live music around every corner. Performers in the lounges and on the pool deck fill the air with musical stylings, from popular dance music and hits of the ‘50s and ‘60s to classical guitar and jazz renditions. Plus, the ship’s theaters feature an international lineup of entertainers presenting different musical experiences each evening and the discos are the ideal place to dance the night away to the latest pulsating beats.

You’ll find the details about how MSC is celebrating music with some special themed sailings by clicking on “more” or call us at 888-286-9827 for more information.

Crystal Symphony Completes $23 Million Drydock

Posted by Michael on 11/27/06
Crystal Cruises

Following a $23 million dry dock, Crystal Symphony has emerged with a dazzling new nightclub, a complete redesign of its main entertainment deck and a decidedly sophisticated and contemporary style. Crystal Symphony’s comprehensive refurbishment, its largest ever, has transformed all staterooms and bathrooms, completely reconstructed a social lounge and casino, refashioned boutiques, shops and its famed Bistro café, as well as dozens of behind the scenes improvements.

Underscoring the company’s commitment to quality, this major construction project follows a multi-million dollar renovation two years ago that debuted a brand-new Feng Shui-inspired spa, a new Vintage Room - today one of the ship’s most popular features, an expanded Computer University@Sea, redesign of specialty restaurants, and complete refurbishment of all penthouse accommodations. Within the last two years Crystal Cruises has invested in excess of $35 million dollars in new construction projects on Crystal Symphony, expanding the stylish choices in dining, recreation and relaxation.

Since its debut in 1995, Crystal Symphony has enjoyed a decade of accolades, consistently earning the industry’s highest praises. Earlier this year, the well-traveled readers of Condé Nast Traveler voted the 940-guest, 50,000-ton ship one of the top two “Best Ships in the World” - a distinction it shares with fleetmate Crystal Serenity.

Click “more” below to read about some of the major projects that were completed during this drydock.  For more information about Crystal Cruises or to book your Crystal vacation, call us at 888-286-9827.

The Mail Buoy Episode 27

Posted by Michael on 11/27/06

Not a whole lot of news again this week, so we just did one show.  The few things that did happen:

Since the traditional way most people observe Thanksgiving is to eat, this week we talking about onboard dining.  Everybody knows that lots of food is available on a cruise ship, that’s the easy part.  ;)  We talk some of the other things that you should know, like making arrangements for special meals, the differences between early seating and late seatings, and alternative dining options.

Since we’re talking about food, it only makes sense to have a Deal of the Week that’s food related.  We’ve got a great deal on one of the Savor the Caribbean sailings onboard Celebrity’s Millennium.  Check it out here.

As always you can find the show in iTunes or click below to download it or listen right in your browser window.

Site Changes

Posted by Michael on 11/23/06

First up, we’ve got some updates to the photo gallery.  Vision of The Seas pictures are up in the photo gallery, there’s two galleries for Vision of The Seas, one with all of our pictures on the ship and one dedicated just to the towel animals that our cabin steward would make for us every evening.  We have so many albums that there’s now more than one page to the album listing, you’ll need to click on the 2 in the blue bar to move to the next page. We’ve also started the work to integrate this site with the site at www.mycruiseplanner.net.  When the work is complete, you’ll find all the content from this site over at www.mycruiseplanner.net, this in addition to all of the information that is already on the .net site.  We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause you.
