This week we are talking about your safety and security while cruising, and we did run a little long... But with the incident this past week onboard Crown Princess combined with all of the attention that these issues have gotten in the last several months, we thought that this was an important topic to discuss. The notes from the week:
  • It is REALLY hot here!
  • Celebrity Cruises orders a third Solstice Class Ship
  • Where will NCL build their next ships?
  • Crown Princess update.
  • Your security starts when your board your ship, security procedures during the boarding process.
  • Once you board, we talk about the lifeboat drill and its importance
  • Crime onboard cruise ships has gotten a lot of attention, but just what do the numbers look like?
  • Drink smart
  • Norwalk Virus, Norovirus, Gastroenteritis, is there a difference?
  • Who is required to report Norovirus outbreaks?
  • Finally some fun stuff, shore excursions have been announced for the Sea Socks Cruise and Yarn Expidition, more details on the Sea Socks Blog
  • We introduce our Deal of The Week! Our first one is a Mahalo, Mahalo special, you'll just have to listen to figure that one out! You can find the details on the Deal of the Week here.
It looks like the iTunes problems are fixed, you can find the show on iTunes here, or click here to download it. Finally a quick programming note for Episode 4. There's a possibility it could be a day late. Patricia's headed to San Jose for Blogher next weekend and may not be back in time for our normal recording session.

Fixed It… I think I think I've fixed the issue we were having with iTunes and the podcast, it looks like both episodes are showing up now.  Obviously we have more work to do in order to truely make the podcast look pretty up on iTunes, it's all about babysteps :)  Next up on my list of things to break fix is getting that graphic that I designed for the podcast to show up in iTunes.  By all accounts it should be an easy task, but for some reason something just isn't cooperating...  Special thanks to db from dbmini.us and whiteroofradio.com for helping us resolve our issues!

Podcast Feed Issues You may have noticed that our two podcast episodes have disappeared from iTunes.  We're not sure what's going on, but we're working on it. We hope to have everything sorted out by Sunday when we publish episode three.
