Playskool Partners with Disney Cruise Line

Hasbro, Inc. and Disney Cruise Line announced today that new PLAYSKOOL products and Hasbro activities such as a PIRATE MR. POTATO HEAD game and the PLAYSKOOL AGES AND STAGES system will board the line's two ships, further integrating Hasbro products into the fleet's entertainment programs for infants, children and families. The initiative is part of a long-term arrangement between Hasbro and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. "This program is such a natural fit as both PLAYSKOOL and Disney are about sparking imagination and discovery," said Lorrie Browning, general manager of infant/preschool at Hasbro. "The introduction of PLAYSKOOL toys and related activities in the ship's play centers translates to fun for kids and trust for parents. Children aboard the 2,700 passenger Disney Wonder and Disney Magic ships will engage with PLAYSKOOL products at various levels of discovery and play. The Little Mermaid themed Flounder's Reef Nursery, for infants ages three months to three years, will be even more exciting, stocked with brand new PLAYSKOOL toys such as WEEBLES, GLOWORM, BUSY BASICS, and WHEEL PALS, all perfect for play time. Additionally, Flounder's Reef counselors will have the benefits of the PLAYSKOOL AGES AND STAGES system designed to help make the best choices about what toys are most appropriate for an individual child based on their age, development and play levels. Assembly of Norwegian Gem Begins In the covered building dock of Meyer Werft in Papenburg, one of a total of 67 steel blocks of the new 93,500-gt cruise vessel “S.670” was put into place on the keel blocks on Saturday. Following an old shipbuilding tradition Mr. Loui Keong Hui, son of Tan Sri Lim, Chairman of Norwegian Cruise Line, laid the traditional "lucky penny", before the block was put down by the yard´s 800-ton crane. The first block weighs more than 350 tons, is 20 m long, 27 m wide and about 9 m high. Norwegian Gem is the seventh ship built by Meyer Werft for the cruise company Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). It is supposed to be delivered in autumn 2007. This new vessel is one of the world’s biggest panmax-cruise ship that has ever been built. The ships length overall will be 294.13 m, the breadth is 32.2 m. The ship will be able to reach a speed of more than 25 knots. 2,384 passengers will be accommodated in 1,188 cabins and will be taken care of by a crew of over 1,000.

Crystal Raises Fuel Surcharge

These are the hallmarks of Crystal Cruises, the pillars of our product that define the award-winning experience enjoyed aboard both Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing the World’s Best luxury cruise vacations for our guests. Without a doubt, the rising cost of fuel continues to affect virtually everyone the world over – from big business to the independent consumer. The impact on Crystal’s daily operations is no exception. As a global business operator, we often find that we are forced to deal with external factors beyond our control. While we had hoped to continue absorbing the additional expenses associated with soaring fuel prices, we find that this has not been possible while maintaining the integrity of our product. Oil prices have increased substantially since we announced our 2007 cruise fares. As a result, effective July 17, 2006, we must institute a fuel surcharge of $5.00 per person, per day on all 2007 voyages. We will protect any 2007 bookings that are made and paid in full prior to July 17, 2006, at the current fare, without the fuel surcharge. The fuel surcharge will be applicable to 2007 cruises that are currently booked, but not paid in full, or booked after July 17, 2006. Please note, there will be no change to the current fuel surcharge of $4.00 per person, per day that is currently in effect for all 2006 voyages.
