
While some companies have decided not to return to New Orleans his year, Swan Hellenic’s Minerva II will arrive in New Orleans on February 22. The visit will be just in time for the start of Mardi Gras which begins on February 23. In addition the Minerva II will also host New Orleans mayor Ray Nagen who has been instrumental in the city’s post-Katrina recovery efforts.

As a company whose operations are centered on the Mississippi, Hurricane Katrina had a large impact on Delta Queen Steamboat Company. For starters, Delta Queen moved their headquarters to western New York, and cancelled the 2006 season of the American Queen.. One of the joy’s of cruising is the fantastic meals that are offered onboard, but what happens if you have special dietary requirements? Maybe you need a kosher meal or a gluten free one, well then what?
Royal Caribbean has announced a new program where passengers can request meals that meet their dietary needs… before they depart on their cruise vacations! All passengers have to do is send an e-mail to the appropriate address at least 45 days prior to sailing.
The e-mail addresses are:
